DesignHAUS is a full-service, LEED accredited interior design studio with a focus on residential and boutique commercial spaces that are comfortable, personal and inspiring.

What We Do
We offer comprehensive full-service interior design packages for both residential and commercial interiors. We will manage your project from start to finish, including consultation and ideation, construction drawings, coordination with trades and consultants to oversee and manage your project though installation, furniture, art curation, and styling. We collaborate with a trusted network of contractors, tradespeople, and suppliers who are equally committed to quality.

INTERIOR DESIGN CONSULTATIONS

Starting at $250
From furnishings and material selection to architectural planning, we design each space with the owner’s unique style and personality. This is our opportunity to get to know you and your space, and for us to share our initial recommendations and ideas.
DRAFTING SERVICES
CONCEPTUAL DRAWING PACKAGE
After our initial consultation, we will provide conceptual drawings to communicate the proposed design to your space. This will include floor plans, and 2D elevations. 3D renderings are available at this stage for an additional cost.
CONSTRUCTION DRAWING PACKAGE
After the design drawings are approved then work on the construction/permit drawings begins. These are the detailed drawings you will submit to the building department to acquire your building permit. This will include floor plans, 2D elevations, cross-sections, architectural details and electrical drawings.
3D RENDERINGS
See your Design Before it is Built
Our 3D rendering services will provide clarity and reassurance as to what your design will become. From exterior colours and selections, to interior furnishings, we can help you see the future.

DESIGN INQUIRY & DISCOVERY
We will ask you a few questions about your project to help us understand how we can serve you best.
CONSULTATION & PROPOSAL
Once you feel confident about working with our studio, we’ll schedule a detailed in-person consultation to dive deep into the details of your project. Following the consultation, we create a custom design proposal including a scope of work, along with a quote for your consideration.
READY TO MOVE FORWARD?
We will formalize our contract and begin working together to bring your project to life.
STEP 1:
DESIGN DRAWINGS
This is where we schedule an appointment to sit down and discuss style, design concepts and functional requirements. You are welcome to bring sketches and pictures to help express your vison. Construction notes are taken as to the desired materials to be used, mechanical requirements, and any special or unique features you'd like.
STEP 2:
CONSTRUCTION DRAWINGS

Kaila Barrett | Principal Designer
Growing up in a construction family taught me the importance of having a functional, practical, and buildable approach to interior design.

Since graduating from the Interior Design program at Sheridan College, I've spent the last 15 years gaining experience working in a variety of construction and design businesses in the area.
I was born and raised in Kingston, Ontario, where I currently live with my 5 year old son, and our 2 dogs.
​
Throughout the years, I have established a network of trusted designers in various fields, with outstanding credentials and abilities. I created DesignHAUS, as umbrella for hand-selected designers and trades to work together towards one goal; improving the quality of life for our clients through the spaces we design and build.
